THE COMPETITION
The 2nd International Beethoven Chamber Music Competition is jointly organized by: International Beethoven Association from Berlin The Ludwig van Beethoven Association from Cracow The European Forum of Polish Music from Berlin The Krzysztof Penderecki European Center for Music The goal of the competition is to propagate chamber music by both Ludwig van Beethoven and Polish contemporary composers. The competition will take place from 05 November to 12 November 2017 at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Center for Music in Luslawice, Poland and will be held in four categories: - Duo violin/ piano - Duo cello/ piano - Duo viola/ piano - Piano trio - String trio  - String quartet - Piano quartet Eligible to compete are ensembles with musicians no older than 35. The prizes will be awarded by an international jury composed of internationally renowned musicians and music scholars. Prices: - Price for best duo violin/ piano - 2.000 € - Price for best duo cello/ piano - 2.000 € - Price for best duo viola/ piano - 2.000 € - Price for best piano trio - 3.000 € - Price for best string trio - 3.000 € - Price for best string quartet - 4.000 € - Price for best string quartet - 4.000 € - Grand Prix - recording and production of a CD - Price for best performance of a work by L. v. Beethoven - 2.000 € - Proce for best performance of a work by K. Penderecki - 2.000 €   Admissions will be processed from 1 March 2017 to 1 September 2017
